Home plate floating at Brookmeadow

If you have ever been to the Brookmeadow baseball field, you know how badly it floods after we get rain.  Well, the fix is merely weeks away.  A swail, aka a small ditch, will soon be dug along the wood line from right field, to behind the first base dugout, and end in the woods behind home plate.  This channel will take the water that flows off of the enbankment and properly direct it instead of allowing it to flood the baseball field.  Add in the raised baseball diamond after new infield mix is added this fall, and Brookmeadow will have received significant upgrades.
