U-10 Kid Pitch Rules - Double A

  • Three (3) outs per inning
  • No more than 11 batters per inning.
  • A coach stands behind the pitcher, calling balls and strikes on their own hitters.
  • Three strikes and the batter is out.
  • There are no walks. If no contact after four balls, the coach steps in and finishes the at bat. The strike count remains where it was when the coach took over pitching.
  • Resume the batting order where it stopped from the previous inning.
  • Infield hits, keep the runner on first. Do not allow the runner to keep running on errors or wild throws.
  • Balls hit to the outfield, allow the runner to run until the ball makes it back to the edge of the infield. Again, do not allow the runner to keep running on errors or wild throws.
  • You are allowed two steals per inning. You need to alert the other coach that you are stealing. The runner cannot leave until the ball crosses home plate.
  • There is a five run “mercy” rule per half inning.
  • On strike three the batter is out. Does not matter if the catcher drops/does not catch the ball.
  • Max of two innings per week per pitcher
